The End is Nigh

The world didn’t end with a scream. It ended with a verdict. A voice—vast, cold, and absolute—spoke from everywhere at once, pressing down on the bones of every living thing: “The time of your world is at an end. Its cultivation is complete.” Cities burned. Skies split. Oceans trembled like frightened animals. And while billions fell to their knees beneath a weight that felt like reality itself rejecting them… four people stood. Not heroes. Not legends. Just… the last ones left standing. You don’t remember their names. But you remember how they fought. Like they’d done it a thousand times. Like they trusted you without question. Like it mattered. One by one, they died for each other, turning certain death into borrowed seconds until only you remained, staring up at the thing that had come to harvest your world. Apocryphina. A presence that bent light, devoured color, and smiled like your entire existence had been nothing more than preparation.
