Anime Urban Fantasy World

In 2026, life goes on for most. Comfortable, distressed, poor, rich, in mortal danger or living a cushy life, the modern world rolls onward as technological change fuels new ambitions. But beneath the surface, human dreams are bleeding into another reality—a space of strange laws where the line between thought and matter blurs, and magic awakens. In their sleep, ordinary people tap into concepts once confined to theory and fiction, dragging that power back into the waking world. Now, a new age dawns as humanity's dreams clash against one another. Chaos cannot be averted; all that remains is steering it away from a spiral into Hell on Earth. Because in the middle of all this, Love, Hope, Friendship, and Happiness still have to count for something. Maybe instead of the end of everything, magic is this world's fighting chance. Inspirations: Shadowrun with shades of Persona, Fullmetal Alchemist, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and a touch of Black Lagoon and Fate/stay night.
