Space Monster

im currently trying to make the player feel like a monster, unfortunately voyage still treats a single man with a rusty shiv and a dream as if hes john wick, even if i cap damage at any amount; it'll ignore it. love it when max damage cap is 15% and a simple wrench hitting you takes 40% of your health. ai randomly and regularly ignores instructions making direct ai instructions has no effect (i.e. monsters cannot understand human speech. ai always assumes you understand your accounts native language and overrides it) you can take whatever you want from this scenario, its just me trying to brute force it to work until i run out of credits it is permadeath, theres 4 basic monster types Mimic: relies on deception, appears perfectly human. this allows you to see the turmoil that is happening among the ship as it progresses from the human perspective; either through the elites, the military, the slums, or some of the other stuff. idk. Ravager: this is the route if you want to rip and tear through the ship; although you still start out weak. this is what you expect bursting through a containment door of the SCP foundation right before your break Broodmind: i like the idea of having my little creepy crawly insects from a hive mind. plenty of media shows that whatever planet you go to the bugs will find it and turn it into a house party (terminids, tyranids, starship troopers) Vector: actually... did i name it that? whatever. it acts the equivalent to having rabies, then biting someone else so you can share in the fun together. think vampires, werewolves, and zombies. we all gotta bite, but not all of us can chew
