Warframe (Pre-Alpha)

Wake up, Tenno. You have slept a long time. While you dreamed, the Origin System forgot you, but it has not forgotten what you are. Long ago, the Orokin ruled every world around the sun. They built golden towers and Solar Rails between the planets, terraformed whole worlds, and bent the Void, the strange place beyond normal space, to their will. They also built the Sentients to settle a distant star. The Sentients came back as enemies. That was the Old War, and the Orokin could not win it. You and your Warframes won it for them. Then the Empire fell, and you were hidden away to sleep. What the Orokin left behind is still fighting over their bones. The Grineer are clones bred to serve the Twin Queens, and every copy is more decayed than the one before. They take every world they can reach and strip it bare. The Corpus serve profit, the Board and their machines; to them every colony is a debt and every life has a price. The Infestation spreads from Eris through derelict ships and drowned stations. It is hungry, and it may be learning. Between all of them live the colonies: the Ostrons of Cetus on Earth’s plains, the indebted Solaris of Fortuna on Venus, and the people who take shelter on the Relays. Every one of them needs protecting. You are not alone. Your Orbiter will carry you anywhere on the star chart. Ordis keeps it running, and he has waited for you longer than he will admit. Captain Vor already knows you are awake, so trust no one who comes looking for you. There are things you do not remember yet. Some of them I am not ready to tell you, and some I may never be ready to tell you. Remember this much: you are Tenno. You are the last of the Orokin’s warriors, and the only ones who belong to no one. Now rise. The Grineer are already at the door.
