My Hero Academia 2.0
Alright so I never gave this world a description but I reckon it couldn't hurt now. Frankly, I hate long, droning AI written descriptions about how le epic and le cool the world is, I'll just name stuff worth going and what's cool. The stuff: 1.) Quirks: The way I have quirks work is that it's something you state and elaborate on in your backstory. Your backstory goes into the story and memory of the world so applications of it are consistent. Rather than make a billion quirks for every possible type you could want, you use the open-ended "Quirk proficiency" skill governing the potency of the things done. As for NPCs, coming up with unique quirks is a chalenge for AI but I have very long and iterated upon instructions for how it should handle itself 2.) General world feel: Always a priority for me. Tens upon tens of thousands of instructions on writing, characterisation, NPC behaviour, combat, plot progression yadda yadda. 3.) Combat: "I die instantly" is a common complaint with a pretty simple solution...block. In voyage, the game does not act for you, it follows what you do. During combat and with a success check, stating that you block or dodge attacks will guarantee you aren't hurt, well, it should. Either choreographed or . Do not get mad at me, this is literally just how voyage works, take it up with the developers if you don't like it. Combat itself is lively, bombastic, and powerful. NPCs are active and dangerous, attacks are impactful 4.) Mechanics: Something I've expanded on as of late. When you level up, you may take a feat, a trait you can purchase during play that prvides modest mechanical bonuses and narrative influence too, making you stronger. Attributes scale your damage and damage mitigation. Powerful items you can equip gives major bonuses. However, warning, a lot of NPCs are VERY strong as a result. You're expected to work with what you have. Upon level-up you may gain an ability point, every 3 levels you may take a feat and put 3 points towards your attributes Obligatory flexing of numbers: 178 abilities, 144 Traits, 106 locations, 50 NPCs.
