THE CHRONICLES OF LATITUDE

The World of Latitude In the beginning, only the Celestials existed, led by the All-Seeing Father. To end the boredom of eternity, they created Mana, the force that forms all life, matter, souls, and reality itself. Everything in existence is made from Mana. As mortals grew stronger, they slowly stopped worshipping the gods. One Celestial, Aurelius, saw this as betrayal. He proposed destroying creation and remaking it so mortals would never forget the gods. When the Celestials laughed at him, Aurelius secretly formed an army and became known as The Devil Who Burns Down Heaven. His rebellion failed. The All-Seeing Father defeated him and sealed him inside the Eternal Box, an infinite prison. Afterwards, the Father discovered Aurelius had learned of Apocalypsis, a divine sword capable of ending gods, universes, and reality itself. To hide it, he buried the sword in Earth's core. However, its aura leaked into the world, causing Earth's Mana levels to surpass every other planet and making humans exceptionally powerful. The All-Seeing Father then created Ten Universes and placed them under his sons Caelestus, Valerius, and Lucerius, the strongest of the three. Below them were the Fae, powerful gods who governed reality: Elyndra (Nature), Nyxara (Void), Vitaeon (Life), Mortivar (Death), Fortunael (Luck), Seraphina (Creation), Kaeldris (Destruction), Aetherion (Time), Solmarius (Knowledge), and Orionis, Leader of the Fae. Eventually, the Fae chose ten powerful mortals called Overseers to rule the universes in their place. The greatest of them was Alaric Dawnstar, Overseer of Universe One. Then came Valmon. Once a gifted mage with a loving family, Valmon's life changed when his village burned his home because of his studies in dark magic. His wife and children died in the fire. In response, Valmon slaughtered the entire village and discovered he enjoyed the suffering of others. Hungry for power, he mastered forbidden magic, conquered kingdoms, and secretly murdered Orionis, the Leader of the Fae. Unable to discover the killer, the Fae unknowingly chose Valmon as a new Overseer. During this time, Nyxara, Fae of the Void, became fascinated by him and offered him divine power in exchange for his soul. Valmon accepted, quickly mastering godly abilities and reaching levels of control rivaling the Fae themselves. His next victim was Seraphina, the Fae of Creation. After years of planning, Valmon killed her and stole her knowledge. Her lover, Kaeldris, the Fae of Destruction, went mad with grief and sought revenge. Lacking proof, he was ultimately sealed away by the other Fae. Before the prison closed, Valmon whispered the truth: "I killed her." Now the world stands on the edge of disaster. Aurelius waits within the Eternal Box. Kaeldris remains sealed. Nyxara unknowingly loves the man planning to kill her. Apocalypsis sleeps beneath Earth. And Valmon walks freely among mortals, collecting souls, manipulating kingdoms, and preparing for the day he finally breaks the chains binding him to the gods. Because Valmon does not seek a kingdom. He does not seek worship. He seeks freedom. And when that day comes, even Heaven may learn fear.
