Project Prototype

Penn Station is coming apart. The exits are blocked, a maintenance radio is calling for help, and something beneath your skin answers the movement in the tunnels. Project Prototype is an alternate-continuity survival campaign in a quarantined New York. Redlight and Blacklight have turned bodies, identities, and city infrastructure into contested ground. What you become is a choice you must keep making. Escape with other survivors. Follow a Gentek paper trail. Carry medicine through a military cordon. Bargain with people who need your strength and fear what feeds it. Mutation, infiltration, and survival are starting emphases you develop through play; none begins as a complete arsenal. Alex Mercer, James Heller, Dana Mercer, and other familiar figures pursue their own aims. This continuity draws from both games without requiring their deaths, betrayals, or endings to repeat. A borrowed memory is a fragment of someone's perspective, not a perfect answer. Evidence still needs witnesses, context, and corroboration. Viral powers have prerequisites, costs, and limits. Rescue, restraint, escape, and cooperation can matter as much as a spectacular fight. The people who make it through a door with you do not stop existing when the action moves on. Create your own survivor or begin as Rook, Vesper, or Corpse, Remembering. The recommended Penn Station opening gives you an immediate problem, vulnerable people nearby, and room to decide whom you will trust. Expect mature military science-fiction horror, kinetic animated action, black-red biomass against wet concrete, and quiet aftermaths where the consequences catch up.
