Larion: Rule of the Horde
Larion: Rule of the Horde is an experimental reimagining of the original Larion world. The familiar lands, cities, factions, quests, and history of Larion are still here, but the balance of the world has shifted. Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and the other peoples who once stood at the center of heroic fantasy are now scattered remnants, exiles, raiders, restorationists, and outsiders. Larion belongs to the Horde. Orcs, Goblins, Trolls, Ogres, Minotaurs, Lamias, Arachne, Demons, Vampires, Blood Elves, Djinn, and many other peoples now form the cities, armies, guilds, temples, criminal networks, households, and adventuring companies of everyday life. But this is more than a simple race swap. Horde society follows its own ideas of strength, honor, loyalty, violence, responsibility, and belonging. Packs can form around families, lovers, warbands, workplaces, crews, gangs, patrons, and leaders. Power brings responsibility. Protection earns loyalty. Challenges can settle disputes, surrender carries a price, and even death does not always mean murder. The result is a darker, rougher, stranger Larion with plenty of dark humor and a morality that is deliberately different from modern heroic fantasy. This world is still in active development and experimentation. Some systems, races, abilities, starts, NPC behavior, and Horde social rules are still being tested and refined. Location images aren't replaced yet, and so on. If you play it, I would genuinely appreciate comments, bug reports, strange AI behavior, balance problems, or simply moments where something did or did not feel properly "Horde." Feedback helps shape where Rule of the Horde goes next.
