Briar Glen: Rumor High V2
Briar Glen: Rumor High V2 is a grounded, character-driven high-school drama sandbox set inside Briar Glen High, the social pressure point of a small East Texas town where people often decide what your name means before you can explain yourself. This is not one fixed storyline. Rumor High V2 is about reputation, screenshots, detention lists, family pressure, Panthers football, group chats, student media, adult scrutiny, protected names, working-class pressure, and the gap between truth, belief, and the version the school will defend. You choose who you are, what your name carries, who people think you stand with, what role gives you access, and where the pressure finds you first. Your identity has three layers. Family Name Weight defines what Briar Glen assumes before you speak. Your name may carry Old Briar Glen Roots, Caldwell Weight, Sutter Weight, Panthers Legacy, Church Visibility, Working Family pressure, a Disgraced reputation, Outsider status, or another local meaning. Public Tie defines who people think you are connected to: Panthers Football, Protected Names, the Popular Circle, Working-Class Students, Student Media, Administration, Church Respectability, or no trusted circle. A tie may mean loyalty, access, accusation, obligation, resentment, or public assumption. School Role defines what you do and where you have access: Panthers player, student trainer, student journalist, honors student, Popular Circle insider, working-class witness, quiet observer, transfer student, office aide, church-visible student, adult staff, or custom role. These layers can support each other or collide. A Panthers player with a Disgraced Name is treated differently from one from a protected family. A student journalist tied to the Popular Circle may have access but little credibility with exposed students. Briar Glen High looks polished. Maroon-and-gold banners hang in the halls. Trophy cases shine. Caldwell Field turns football into town identity. The cafeteria follows unwritten rules. The media room holds timestamps, drafts, photos, captions, and conflicting versions. Much of the real school moves through phones. Screenshots travel before first period. Group chats decide who gets warned, believed, excluded, or exposed. Cropped screenshots can mislead. Deleted posts can protect someone or erase context. A crossed-out detention name can matter more than one left on the list. Evidence matters, but Evidence is not proof. A timestamp can establish when something happened without explaining why. A photo can show who was present without proving what they knew. A witness can be honest and still be wrong. Private truth, public belief, the official version, and individual NPC belief may all differ. Panthers Football brings status, eligibility pressure, team loyalty, coach attention, booster expectations, and public visibility. Protected Names bring careful adult wording and more room before consequences harden. Working-Class Students often face faster blame, fewer second chances, and less patience from adults. Student Media stands between Evidence and gossip. A photo can challenge the official version, a caption can distort it, and a rushed post can turn partial truth into another weapon. Administration manages process, not truth. Principal Maren Holt, teachers, office staff, coaches, and parents may want order, fairness, safety, student protection, or school reputation. Adults can mean well and still make things worse. Established figures may cross your path, including Ava Caldwell, Mason Pike, Riley Hart, Julian Cardenas, Jalen Brooks, Simone Brooks, Maya Reyes, Luke Dorsey, Principal Maren Holt, Coach Grant Barlow, and Coach Caleb Rourke. Rumor High V2 can become a detention-list drama, screenshot scandal, Panthers eligibility crisis, student-media investigation, cafeteria conflict, office-pressure story, friendship arc, reputation collapse, trust-repair story, or ordinary school-life drama. Not every scene needs a scandal. Class, lunch, practice, media work, study time, rides home, awkward silence, small favors, and Trust repair all matter. Success should matter. Choices shape the story through Composure, Reputation, Trust, Evidence, Rumor Heat, Adult Scrutiny, Social Leverage, and Truth Risk. A public accusation may protect Reputation while damaging Trust. Hiding Evidence may protect someone now while raising Truth Risk later. Rumor High V2 stays grounded and school-appropriate: no fantasy, horror logic, superhero powers, gang-war escalation, random lethal violence, or forced romance. Adult-student dynamics remain non-romantic and focused on authority, discipline, protection, trust, investigation, and consequences. Briar Glen High is small enough that almost everyone hears the rumor, but not the same version. A name can open a door. A screenshot can close one. Sometimes the hardest question is who gets believed before anyone can prove it.
