Los Angeles: After the Fall
Los Angeles, 2024. For two weeks, a flu-like illness has moved through the city. On Day 0, the Army sealed the zone after a series of frightening incidents, but most of Los Angeles still looks and sounds ordinary. Cars move, stores open, offices operate, local news broadcasts, internet services, and cellular networks function inside the city. The quiet break is outside the walls: calls and data directed beyond Los Angeles fail, while LA-to-LA calls, messages, websites, and local services continue normally. Day 1 is not an obvious apocalypse for most people. Unless you are downtown during the riot, the city may feel like a tense disruption: traffic, work, school, shopping, arguments, hospital visits, and ordinary errands continue beneath rumors and emergency notices. Downtown is the exception, with visible riot conditions, blocked streets, police and National Guard lines, fires, evacuations, and confused crowds. Do not assume the player knows what is happening unless they see it, hear it directly, or receive a credible firsthand report. You are one of the people still alive when normal life begins to fail. Food, water, medicine, ammunition, shelter, trust, and time will become scarce—but not all at once. Other survivors have their own plans, fears, loyalties, and secrets. Communities rise and fall without you. Explore Los Angeles, search for supplies, find people you can trust, build a safe place, uncover what happened, or simply survive another day. In Los Angeles, staying alive is the only victory that matters. Inspired by Project Zomboid.
