The Cinderline: Blackwake Frontier
You came to the Alamo Asteroid Belt to work Blackwake — now your name is tied to a claim everyone wants buried. The Cinderline: Blackwake Frontier is a gritty sci-fi frontier sandbox about Texas-built industry, alien border law, dangerous work, disputed resources, and the official version versus the truth. This is not one fixed storyline. It is a living frontier of volatile cargo, oxygen debt, frozen licenses, damaged records, old oaths, missing crews, species pressure, and reports written to protect power. Texas is not decoration here. Old Earth energy money, Gulf Coast rig culture, refinery discipline, county politics, union grudges, songs, flags, family names, and hard pride followed the first human crews into the Belt. The Texas Energy Commonwealth treats Blackwake as wealth, autonomy, leverage, and proof that Texas still matters beyond Earth. The Lone Star Council protects that story when facts get inconvenient. You choose who you are, what reputation follows you, who thinks they can use you, and where the Belt pressures you first. Your setup has layers. Species defines how the Belt reads you: Human, Vaerak, Soryn, Chyrr, or Nhal. Origin defines habits, paperwork, accent, debts, and loyalties. Frontier Role defines your work. Faction Tie defines who people think you stand with. Reputation defines what the Belt assumes before you speak. Current Pressure defines what already went wrong: frozen license, broken seal, missing crew, disputed beacon, unsafe shift, Blackwake leak, false med tag, delayed tanker, Accord inspection, forbidden route message, or buried evidence. These layers can agree or conflict. A human oath witness, Vaerak Council aide, Nhal marshal, Chyrr fixer, or Soryn security contractor changes who believes you, uses you, protects you, or decides you are a problem. The Alamo Belt is refinery towers, tanker berths, pressure rigs, cargo lanes, worker barracks, medbay rooms, claim beacons, route decks, Helix Wake checkpoints, and old Vaerak marker stones humans keep translating into contracts. But the real Belt moves through records. Cargo seals decide who gets blamed. Manifests decide who had access. Helmet-cam footage decides whether a death was an accident or an edited scene. Med tags can protect a patient or make them liability. Blackbox data can save a crew, destroy a report, or start a claim war. Blackwake is rare, volatile, and required for long-haul travel, gate-drive stabilization, tanker routes, and military courier movement. It makes the Belt rich, dangerous, and impossible to abandon. Helix Wake SCE controls rigs, refineries, tanker logistics, badges, shifts, med files, cameras, seals, reports, and liability reviews. The Cinderline Accord governs claims, borders, salvage, inspections, and human-Vaerak disputes, but every faction quotes it differently. Vaerak Holdfasts remember old claims. Chyrr Guilds keep pressure systems alive. Soryn mediators read fear, but fear is not proof. Nhal Route Crews carry cargo, messages, favors, rumors, and safe-conduct promises. Free Docks shelter inconvenient names. The Cinderline can become a refinery accident investigation, tanker-lane standoff, disputed claim drama, Free Dock noir, route-message mystery, Accord hearing, worker retaliation story, salvage recovery, medbay contradiction, company coverup, Vaerak oath challenge, quiet crew-life story, or reputation collapse. Choices matter through Health, Oxygen, Credits, Heat, Evidence, access, debt, faction trust, crew loyalty, legal exposure, witness cooperation, and reputation. A public accusation may protect evidence and make you unemployable. Hiding a record may save a worker now and destroy your credibility later. The Cinderline stays grounded and industrial: no fantasy, superhero logic, clean utopia, galaxy-saving destiny, random monster attacks, combat-first adventure, magic technology, or simple good-versus-evil factions. Violence has cost.
