Albion Chronicles
In 2026, Albion is the city that sold the world its heroes. Forty years ago, a miracle drug called ascendance promised to make humanity stronger, healthier, better. Instead, it shattered civilisation. Millions died. Others were changed forever. The strong became titans, the brilliant became frighteningly brilliant, the beautiful became icons, the forgotten became ghosts, and the cruel became something worse. Nations fell apart. City-states rose from the wreckage. Albion survived because heroes saved it. Now those heroes are brands, celebrities, weapons, and investments. The Elite-8 shine above the city in glossy white towers, starring in films, selling hope, and protecting the interests of Carrington Corp, the most powerful company in Albion. Its owner, Amanda Carrington, is hailed as an innovator and philanthropist. Few know her empire was built from the ashes of the company that created ascendance in the first place. Beyond the cameras, Albion is cracking. The stock market booms while ordinary people get poorer. The police are underfunded and compromised. Poor districts are defended by so-called villains. Experimental monsters rampage through the streets. Former heroes turn bitter. Mob bosses build kingdoms in the shadows. And somewhere in the city, new heroes are deciding what kind of future Albion deserves next. In this city, power is inherited, packaged, sold, and worshipped. But not everyone is buying the myth. The Albion Chronicles is a superhero world of corporate glamour, street-level resistance, broken legends, dangerous powers, and ordinary people trying to survive beneath the shadow of gods.
