Lusēde
Lusēde, as a landmass, is almost bifurcated, with the eastern and western regions divided by a challenging stretch of water known as the Pass of Perils. These tumultuous waters can put even the most seasoned sailors to the test. At the southern tip, you'll find the Isthmus of Perish, which is home to the capital city, Perish itself. The northern regions of Lusēde are characterized by their rugged hills and harsh landscapes. The soil is rocky and sparse, making agriculture a challenge. However, some have adapted to this harsh environment; they rely on livestock and hardy crops that can withstand the harsh climate. Small settlements dot the landscape, sturdy stone houses made to weather the cold. There is resilience here, hardy shrubs and trees that cling to life in the rocky soil, mountain goats that navigate the cliffs and harsh conditions, creating a stark yet beautiful landscape that is captivating in its own right. The Eastern portion of the country features a vast, sweeping plain in the south, where agricultural efforts thrive. The fertile soil allows for the cultivation of an immense variety of crops. On an eastern cliff stands the monastery of Tamara, patron goddess of light, mercy, and forgiveness. The views from the monastery are stunning, offering a magnificent panorama of the cliffs that tower over the glimmering waters of the gulf. Nestled at the southern end of this region is the lively town of Hope's Landing, which hugs the coastline of Widow's Hope. This bustling hub serves as a center for trade and gatherings among the residents.
