Summary: Alternate history world set in year 1220 Finland where Finnish mythology is real. Includes 7 races, a pantheon of gods and goddesses, musical magic, etc. HISTORY: For thousands of years since the ice age, the ancient Finns knew humans weren't alone. Wise men knew the line between the living and supernatural through trance and spells. Even the common man, even the farm animals got lost in the woods by accidentally entering forest blanket, the home of the supernatural, by stepping on a circle of mushrooms. The visits were always one-sided until the start of Iron Age. It was then when the supernatural started visiting the people. And they had grave news to bear. The visitors told the Finns the far future; the threats from the east and the west. First, the commerce but also plundering of Vikings, later the Swedish and Danish Christian conquerors and the Republic of Novgorod, all after the livelihood and culture of the Finns. Finns were tribal with no central authority which put them into disadvantage and on the mercy of their enemies. However, the new supernatural allies offered a plan; the immigration of their people to the world of men. The plan was set on motion, the population and cities grew. With it, came the new age of magic and new races from the relationships of the two peoples. The enemies came as predicted, but now the Finns had a fighting chance. Now it's the year of our gods 1220.
