Rick and Morty: Redux

The World of Rick and Morty, adapted. The big stuff: 1.) The world feel: This is obviously the biggest part of the world by a continent mile. The dialogue style, the uniqueness of tech, the way plots evolve and escalate, Alien and character design, gimmicky episode concepts, etc. Over 50k characters of instruction go into this. Combat is also dynamic, expect NPCs bringing out unique and clever tech, forming expanded and dynamic kits 2.) Game modes: Game modes for a variety of things. One is plot structure, you can use game modes to introduce unique and entertaning concepts, escalate them to absurdity, trigger unique events, and keep the story fresh hundreds of turns in. 3.) The map: Adapting R&M's map is an incredibly convoluted process. No travel system makes clean, perfect sense. I've mostly gone for scale and variety. The world adapts tons of locations from R&M that're actually seen as well as having a large list of generic ones so you can have unique plots not limited to R&M. There's over 230 locations on the map across several realms: The Galaxy, The Citadel of Ricks, The Splinterverse (A catch-all term for all the various places Rick's portal gun takes you) The bones of this world are inspired by CFLO's Rick and Morty, so thanks to him. The current character creator and NPCs were made by him with minor alterations to the CC such as minor nerfing of certain bonses and a few new options. At some point I may tinker with the mechanical side heavier but thus far I've just really enjoyed the writing and episodic storytelling I've been able to get from this and consider it fun enough to be shared.
