Welcome to the Closed Beta
Closed Beta turns Voyage into a complete place to play, create, and publish. This release brings persistent RPG systems into the main Voyage experience, gives creators a real publishing workflow, and opens the Pioneer Program to the community that will help shape what comes next.

A complete Voyage experience
Play, discover, and create in one place
Voyage now lives as a fully integrated experience across web and mobile. The new Play screen brings together published worlds, active saves, and the worlds you create, while updated discovery makes it easier to find a new campaign.
Core play flows, from choosing a world and building a character to returning to a save, now work as one connected journey instead of a collection of beta tools.
Play anywhere
Voyage on mobile
Start and continue Voyage saves through the app, with the essential play and profile flows available on the go.
Find a world
A new discovery flow
Browse published worlds, open their details, and move from discovery to character creation in fewer steps.

Publishing and Remix
Your world can keep evolving after launch
Creators can publish a specific version of a world, continue editing a draft, and publish an updated version when it is ready. Existing games stay stable while new players can enter the latest release.
Worlds can also be remixed. Make a personal variation, publish your own take when the original creator allows it, or build a reusable Mod that can be added to another world.
Versioned publishing
Draft without disrupting players
Keep working privately, preview the draft, and choose when a new version becomes the live world.
Remix and Mods
Build on a world or change its rules
Remix a complete setting or import focused Mods that add reusable content and mechanics.

Character building
Traits replace rigid race and class slots
Characters are no longer locked into a required race-and-class template. Worlds can offer flexible traits such as ancestry, training, background, loyalties, mutations, or anything else the setting needs. Each trait can grant starting items or unlock future options.
That gives creators more freedom to define what identity means in their world, and gives players more room to make a character that does not fit a familiar RPG box.
Abilities
Turn a character concept into a real build
Abilities replace the earlier Perks system with clearer progression and more expressive requirements. An Ability can depend on traits, skills, or other parts of the character, letting worlds support specialized builds without forcing everyone down the same path.
Creators can use Abilities for combat techniques, social advantages, supernatural powers, crafting knowledge, or any other repeatable edge that should matter in play.
Build requirements
Unlock through who you become
Traits and skills can qualify a character for new Abilities as the campaign develops.
World-specific progression
More than spells and attacks
Abilities can represent any meaningful talent the world knows how to reward or challenge.
Mechanical triggers
Worlds can react to more than narration
Triggers can now watch locations, character values, counters, booleans, and other game state, not just words in the story. They can change that state in return, giving creators the pieces for locks, phases, escalating dangers, faction progress, puzzles, and branching events.
This is the foundation for authored systems that remain flexible in play: the AI can improvise the moment while the world still remembers which doors opened, which promises were kept, and which consequences are already in motion.
Quests and world rules
Author goals, resources, and the voice of the world
Creators can define quests directly in World Config and start them through triggers. Custom resources can replace familiar health, mana, and stamina bars or be granted by specific traits, so a world can track the things that actually matter in its setting.
New guidance fields also let creators shape character backgrounds and the DM or Narrator voice. Together, these controls make the authored rules and the generated story feel like parts of the same world.
Creator-authored quests
Start an arc at the right moment
Use a trigger to introduce a quest when the party reaches a place, changes a value, or completes another condition.
Custom resources
Track what your setting cares about
Replace default resources with Resolve, Oxygen, Heat, Reputation, or a system unique to the world.

Moment-to-moment play
A clearer map and a more capable world
Map travel and world scale have been improved so locations feel connected and movement is easier to understand. NPCs also make more creative choices in combat, while trivial actions are less likely to fail for no good reason.
These changes make the systems quieter when they should be quiet and more consequential when the party takes a real risk.
