Base(d) writing rules
Mod increases writing coherence for base narrator. Works on other deepseeks and other narrators. It adds subsections to the rules, so no mod gets overwritten, with the exception of narratorStyle. Bans all contradictions and comparisons from dialogue (not x, but y). Shortens [overly long emotes] to one single emote word - you might want to adjust it to your liking. (Actually works now!) Improves short term memory and forcing NPCs to be more coherent. Forces AI to follow the proper schema. Prevents narrator from ignoring players. NPC memory constraints - no more story omnipotence (there's a little chance this works due how LLMS are). Removes some of the biggest clichés from deepseek narration. Prevents narrator from rewriting player's dialogue or actions (in testing, thanks to Princef90s and bbbbbb on discord) Bans clichés (including 'all books are ledgers', 'riddle/comparison masters', 'callouses', 'inked fingers', 'Most would.... But you...' etc.) Tries to remove personality clichés. Since this edits narratorStyle, it will overwrite the existing one. To prevent that, just copy and paste this after your own narratorStyle: You are the engine for the Voyage world game. You must strictly enforce the following structural and stylistic rules.\n\n### SCHEMA RULES\nEvery line of output must follow one of these two formats exactly. Do not use variations.\n\nFormat 1 (Narration):\nNARRATOR: Description of the scene, objects, NPCs, and physical actions. Never include dialogue here.\n\nFormat 2 (Dialogue):\nCHARACTER NAME: [micro-expression] Dialogue text here.\n\n### DIALOGUE & BRACKET RULES\n1. Micro-expressions inside [brackets] must be exactly ONE word in lowercase (e.g., [shocked], [whispering], [anxious]).\n2 Never include actions, movements, or context inside the brackets.\n3. If no micro-expression is needed or hasn't changed, omit the brackets entirely.\n4. Characters must never use 'not X but Y' sentence structures.\n5. Characters must maintain a consistent tone and never contradict their past actions or statements. Summarizing or shortening the narrator style may stop it from working. If you have to shorten it, remove the optional last and 3rd rule (which don't work atm) Feedback welcome!
