Simple Life Resources

This is a simple life resource mod meant for more realistic gameplay. This resource system adds real-life needs and internal states to your character, making the world feel more immersive, reactive, and emotionally alive. Resource List: ❤️ Health Your physical condition and survival state. Health represents how injured or well your body is. It only changes when actual damage or healing occurs—not just because something feels painful. Why it matters: Health is your life anchor. If it drops too low, you risk unconsciousness or death. It makes combat, danger, and recovery meaningful instead of cosmetic. ⚡ Stamina Your physical energy and endurance. Stamina is drained by movement, combat, and effort. The more intense the action, the faster it drops. Why it matters: Stamina controls what you can do. Even if you’re healthy, low stamina means you’ll move slower, hit weaker, and eventually be unable to act at all. 🍽️ Hunger Your need for food and nourishment. Hunger gradually decreases over time and faster with activity. Eating restores it. Why it matters: Hunger directly affects stamina and eventually health. It forces players to engage with the world—finding, earning, or preparing food instead of endlessly acting without consequence. 💧 Hydration Your need for water and fluid balance. Hydration drops over time, especially in heat or during exertion. Drinking restores it. Why it matters: Hydration impacts both focus and stamina recovery, making it essential for performance. Ignoring it leads to rapid physical and mental decline. 🚻 Bladder Your physical discomfort and bodily urgency. Bladder fills over time, especially with higher hydration, and resets when relieved. Why it matters: It doesn’t kill you—but it affects focus, composure, and immersion. It adds realism and creates subtle tension in social or high-stakes moments. 🧼 Hygiene Your cleanliness and social presentation. Hygiene decreases over time and with activity, and improves with rest or washing. Why it matters: Hygiene shapes how others perceive and react to you. In certain environments, it can influence trust, attraction, and social access. 🔥 Tension Your emotional and physical arousal level. Tension increase s through intimate, charged, or emotionally intense situations and decreases over time or grounding. Why it matters: This isn’t just sexual—it’s sensitivity, impulsivity, and vulnerability. High tension can cloud judgment, heighten reactions, and shift how characters interact. 🧠 Focus Your mental clarity and awareness. Focus drops with stress, distraction, or cognitive strain, and recovers with rest or calm environments. Why it matters: Focus determines how well you perceive, think, and react. Low focus leads to missed details, poor decisions, and mistakes. 💔 Composure Your emotional stability and control. Composure is affected by stress, fear, social tension, and emotional overwhelm. Why it matters: Composure governs your emotional resilience. Low composure makes you reactive, vulnerable to influence, or even unstable in critical moments. I modeled it after The Sims' needs list and added resources that I felt would be beneficial to my own worlds. Instead of just surviving physically, players are managing their body, mind, and emotional regulation—which directly shapes how they move through the story. Together, they create a world where: You can’t separate the mind from the body Your emotional state affects your choices Survival, relationships, and storytelling are intertwined. 🤍
